The fluid volume of the hydraulic coupling

There is a direct ratio between the liquid charge and the transfer power of the torque type hydraulic coupler, that is, the greater the volume of the working chamber, the greater the capacity of the transmission torque (or the transmission speed) in the prescribed liquid filling range.

And vice versa.

When the external load is certain, the more liquid filling, the higher the efficiency, the greater the start-up torque and overload coefficient of the coupling.

And vice versa.

A certain type of coupler has a specific power range, known as a power belt, which corresponds to the amount of liquid in the coupling.

The range of liquid filling is 40-80% of the total volume.

When the filling rate is less than 40%, the coupling is not economical due to the failure of its transmission power capacity, and it also accelerates wear due to the lack of lubrication of the bearing, which is prone to vibration and is prone to overheating.

When the amount of liquid filling is greater than 80%, the hydraulic coupling characteristic is affected by the lack of sufficient space of fluid flow in the working chamber.

If the cavity is full of liquid, it will not only deteriorate, but also cause the seal failure or the hydraulic coupling shell to burst due to the heat expansion of the liquid.

For this reason, it is not necessary to completely fill in the perfusion.
