Moment limited hydraulic coupler

Hydraulic coupling is a flexible transmission device, compared with the ordinary mechanical transmission device, has many unique features: it can eliminate the shock and vibration; the output speed is lower than the input speed, two speed difference increases with the increase of load; overload protection performance and good starting performance, while the load is too large to stop when the input shaft can be turn not to damage caused by the engine; when the load is reduced, the output shaft speed is increased until close to the speed of the input shaft, the transmission torque tends to zero. The transmission efficiency of a hydraulic coupling is equal to the ratio of the speed of the output shaft to the speed of the input shaft.

Higher efficiency can be obtained when the speed ratio of normal hydraulic coupling in normal operating conditions is more than 0.95. The characteristics of a hydraulic coupler vary from the shape of the working chamber to the pump wheel and the turbine. The hydraulic coupling generally depends on the natural heat dissipation of the shell and does not need the external cooling system. If the oil of the hydraulic coupling is empty, the coupling is in the disconnect state and can play the role of the clutch. But the hydraulic coupler has some disadvantages, such as low efficiency and narrow efficiency.

Hydraulic coupling structures are much different in structure and hydraulic coupling principle is slightly different, but the basic principle is the same, is through the pump wheel for converting mechanical energy into kinetic energy of liquid, by the impact of liquid turbine flow, the liquid kinetic energy to mechanical energy conversion, output power.

The torque limiting coupling has three basic structures, which are static pressure relief, dynamic pressure relief and compound discharge.
