Zinc Die casting is a process that is represented by forcing melting zinc into a mold cavity under high pressure. The mold cavity is created using two hardened die steel halves which are machined into shape and work similarly as injection mold.

Zinc die casting is efficient and economical and offers a wide range of durable shapes. Little or no machining is required after a part is die cast, because the process provides very close tolerances for even complex shapes. Zinc die castings can be easily plated, especially can be chrome plated, this surface finish is very popular. As the zinc material has lower molten point than aluminum, Zinc alloy can be easier casted than aluminum, the wall thickness of the zinc castings also can be thinner.
