XPE foam, also called XLPE foam, is a non-toxic, impermeable and highly resilient closed-cell foam, ideally suited for shock absorption in protective and packaging applications.


Almost all of the polyethylene foam materials are closed cell structure. No additive will have significant influence on performances expect flame retardant. When its proportion is add to 20%, the foam material is fire resistant.

Note: irradiated cross linked pe foam (IXPE foam) is cross linked by irradiation, while XPE foam is by foaming agent.


Application:

XPE foam industrial material has an extremely wide range of applications and there are few, if any, industries where these foams are not used:

1.Gaskets and vibration pads: foam density from 15 to 60 kg/m³

2.Automotive: Car door panel, air duct, car roof, dashboard, water barriers, carpet underlay, gaskets and seals, foams in densities from 15 to 45kg/m³ are generally used.

IXPP foam is the new material used in car dashboard, door panel and air duct. It can withstand high temperature up to 120? and offer outstanding mechanical properties with weight saving.

3.Building and construction: foam materials in a range of densities from 15 to 50kg/m³ are widely used.

4.Sports and leisure: shock pads for artificial turf, camping mats
