Description:

Magnesium alloy billet is divided into two groups, according to different producing method, one is Called Manual Casting magnesium billet and Slab ,another is semi-continues casting billet or Slab. (or called Direct chill cast billet)

Main difference of two kinds billet

1. Inner structure is different ,for manual casting billet ,its inner structure is loosened ,but for semi-continues casting billet, it is compact

2. Inner grain is different , manual casting billet bulky ,but for semi-continues casting billet ,it is fine

3. Main application is different ,the former used for products whose mechanical properties is not so crucial ,but the after request more

4. Price is different ,usually ,the former cheap ,but the later is expensive compare with the former

5. Size is very different ,usually the former max size could be reach 160mm diameter ,but the later could be max 600mm diameter
