Long radius means the radius of curvature of elbows is 1.5 times of diameter, and short radius means the radius of curvature of elbows is equal to the diameter. 90 degree long radius is the most commonly used, the default is generally long radius, which is generally adopted at the high pressure or high velocity places. If the strict requirements of the pipeline resistance of solid time should use more larger radius. Short radius is usually used in low pressure fluid or elbow is limited in installation. If there is no condition limit or if not specified in the contract, 90 degree long radius elbow should be preferred.
