Ceramic balls could be separated into two types: non-oxide ceramic balls (silicon nitride, Si3N4 ball) and oxide ceramic balls (alumina and zirconia balls). Weight of a zirconia ball (Zr02 ball) is 77% weight of a general steel ball. Besides, zirconia balls have excellent performance of non-magnetic, electrical insulation, excellent corrosion resistance, antirust etc. Thus, zirconia balls are used in pumps, valves, ceramic bearings etc.
