Steam retort/autoclave
The Sterilization baskets/trays will be filled in the steam retort/autoclave.
After that, the first phase of sterilization process-Heating Phase will begin.
The steam will be injected directly into the sterilization pot.
Once the programmed holding time is finished, a pre-cooling starts.
It is done by cold water injection inside the internal exchangers.
It is combined with the condensates / make-up cold water mixture by recirculation of the condensates through the by-pass loop (no contact of this mixture with the load).
Once the programmed temperature is reached, for instance 90°C, the final cooling begins with recycled water sprayed on the load.
The recycled water is composed of steam condensates accumulated during the previous phases as well as make-up water.
The mixture is pumped at the lower level of the sterilizer, goes through the secondary circuit of an external heat exchanger and through an adjustable valve (3 positions). Then it goes back into the vessel on several spraying ramps installed above the load to be cooled down.
During cooling phase, the primary circuit of the heat exchanger is supplied with cold water.
Features:

3. Quick heating, only need about 6-10 minutes to reach the preset sterilization temperature;
4. Uniform heat distribution, no blind cold angle;
5. Multi-phase process for rising and dropping of temperature.
6. Minimize the temperature difference between the surface and center of packed food, maintain the flavor and nutrition of food.
Mild heating and cooling process can protect the fragile container and glass container;
7. Direct heating by steam and indirect cooling by continually recycling the water through the heat exchanger, avoiding secondary contamination to the food package;
8. Employing soft water for sterilization to avoid pollution to the surface of package;
9. No special requirements for cooling water which reduce the cost of sterilization;
10. Siemens PLC automatic control system and touch screen, easy to operate;
11. Pressure control system can adjust the pressure in the tank automatically and precisely in case the packages break or deformation during sterilization process;
12. Monitoring temperature ensures food safety, saves energy, reduces production time and assists in providing the best quality product.
