Star-Delta Conversion Cage Tap Changer
This automatic electric cage off load tap selector is one of our typical products. It is the improved product of the off-circuit tap changer in China. This series tap changer is composed of electric transmission mechanism, switch body and electric controller, which has vertical and horizontal structures. It is applicable to oil-immersed furnace transformer with rated voltages of 10kV, 35kV, 66 kV and 110 kV, and rated currents equal to or below 1000A. Its taps and changes are under brushless status which can be operated electrically as well as manually. This switch must be operated under transformer off-circuit.

With simple appearance, small size of installation, flexible installation method, strong operation handle, automatic homing of contact, reliable touch, hard to operate wrongly, simple connection between switch and transformer, uniform electric field distribution, flexible layout, the transformer is easy to be miniaturized.

The tap-changer will help to stabilize grids with limited short-circuit power, allow renewable energy to be integrated into grids without expensive grid reinforcement, increase the operating efficiency of electricity grids, stabilize industrial processes, reduce energy costs in the operating environment and simplify the cost-effective connection of wind farms and solar parks in compliance with the grid code.  

Reactance LTC, Another name for this reactive impedance is a Reactor, Preventive Autotransformer, or simply a “PA”. They were designed for higher currents and lower insulation levels due to their use in low voltage regulation. The resistive LTC utilizes a resistor to limit the circulating current during a tap change. Resistive LTC’s are always designed to operate at high speeds. The bridging position is not a normal stopping tap position for a resistive LTC.
