Cylinder characteristics are:

1) into one end only (exhaust) gas, simple structure, gas consumption is small.

2) with spring force or diaphragm force reduction, compressed air is part of the energy to overcome the spring force or tension of the membrane, thus reducing the output force of the piston rod.

3) installed in the cylinder, such as springs, diaphragms, generally travel shorter compared with double acting cylinders with the same volume, effective travel less.

4) tension with deformation of the cylinder return spring, diaphragm size changes, and thus the output force of the piston rod in the moving process is changing.
