Small acetylene tank description

Colorless, highly flammable gas and slightly lighter than air. Acetylene of 100 percent is odorless, but the commercial purity generated from calcium carbide has a distinctive, garlic like odor.

Acetylene is highly flammable and easily ignited, with a wide range of flammability in both air and oxygen. This gas produces a very hot flame (over 3000? or 5400?) when combined with oxygen dissolves in acetone dissolved Acetylene. Special care is required during examination & filling the cylinder (Do not discharge the Acetylene cylinder at pressure above 15 psig (103kpa) & do not empty the cylinder below 5 psig).

Commercial production of Acetylene is done using Calcium carbide.
