Torlon is the main polyamide-imide (PAI) M&P uses. Parts machined from Torlon provide greater compressive strength and higher impact resistance than most advanced engineering plastics. Torlon has an extremely low coefficient of linear thermal expansion and high creep resistance, which provides dimensional stability over its entire use range.

Torlon 4203 (Electrical Grade): excellent compression strength, commonly used for electrical connectors and insulators

Torlon 4301 (Bearing Grade): commonly used for wear and friction parts, low expansion rate and low coefficient of friction

Torlon 5530 (Glass-Reinforced Grade): higher load structural applications, gear and valve plate type parts
