Insert ball bearing actually is one type of the groove ball bearings.

The feature is that the outer surface is a spherical surface that can be fitted into corresponding concave spherical bearing to play a role of self-aligning.

Most of insert ball bearing are used in rough machinery, installation and positioning precision is worse than deep groove ball bearing although general performance is similar with deep groove ball bearing.
