Introduction:

Hydroxy silicone oil is a linear poly (two methyl siloxane) with a hydroxyl group and an oily liquid. It has the characteristics of methyl silicone oil. Low viscosity hydroxy silicone oil is a good structure control agent in the processing of silicone rubber. It can replace two phenyl silane glycol, simplifying the process and improving the process performance. It is also used as a waterproof, soft and anti sticky treatment agent for fabric, leather and paper.

Physicochemical property:

The viscosity can be from very small to a second. The hydroxyl content from one thousandth to ten percent, typical hydroxyl silicone oil viscosity is less than or equal to 40 mpa-s. (25 C), refractive index of 1.4000 to 1.4100 (25 C), hydroxyl content of 4% ~ 5%. The hydroxyl or alkoxy compounds can react with hydroxyl or alkoxy compounds under the catalysis of organotin.

Application:

According to the high and low hydroxyl content and different viscosity, it can be used in different industries.

1?The medium and high viscosity products are used as the base adhesive for the adhesive of paper. The curing film has good anti sticky effect. Such as the label base paper, the bitumen packing paper, the bottom paper of the sealed box paper belt, the upholstery paper bottom paper and so on.

2?Used in electrical appliances industry as the main component of insulating varnish or as a component of insulators.

3?It is used as base glue and diluting material for Condensation Type RTV silicone rubber, such as sealant and mold glue.

4?Instead of simethicone, it is easy to emulsify.

5?Small molecular hydroxyl silicone oil (25 ~ 30cp, hydroxyl content of about 8%) is a fine structure of silicone rubber control agent, to replace the two phenyl two hydroxy silane not only simplifies the processing technology of silicon rubber, improve processing performance (eliminating heat treatment), also increased the transparency of products, improve working conditions, etc..

Useage:

In order to use general combining curing curing agent for anti sticking paper, but also by the coupling agent is fixed, the general amount of curing agent for base gum 3 ~ 5%, accounting for 0.5 of the base rubber coupling agent to 1%, mostly by solvent first base glue diluted 10 times, adding curing agent and coupling agent after mixing evenly coated on the surface of the substrate, at room temperature or heating curing.At room temperature for more than 30 minutes, 30 seconds to 120~150 degrees C heating. No solvent is needed for sealant and mold adhesive. Storage:

Hydroxy silicone oil should be stored in a clean plastic barrel, not in contact with strong acid and alkali substances;

Stored in a cool and cool place at room temperature; away from fire and heat;

The lighting, ventilation and other facilities in the storage room should be used for explosion-proof type.

Traffic limitation:

Unload during handling to prevent damage to packaging and container. Storage and transportation according to non-toxic and non dangerous goods.

Matters needing attention:

Hydroxy silicone oil can not be mixed with acid base material, alkoxy silane and water vapor at high temperature, otherwise it has the tendency of curing and viscosity change.
