HPL Honeycomb Panels

Decorative Laminate faced honeycomb panel is a fully certified aluminium honeycomb panel with decorative laminate faces reinforced with aluminium sheet. The HPLpanel has good fireproof property and is specially for maritime use, such as for interior decoration on ships. A variety of panel thickness can be customized, frequently used thickness is 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm and 30mm. Standard panel size is 4ft by 8ft, 1220x2440mm.

Top skins-HPL laminate

The HPL Laminate is a good fireproof materials, honeycomb panel with HPL sheet on surface thus offers very good fire resistance. The good perfomance of firepoof enables HPL honeycomb panel to be applied for decorations on ships, yacht,vessel, ferry other maritime use.

Panels are produced with the same decorative laminate on both faces, or with a backing/lining laminate on the reverse face. The decorative brand used are Formica or Wilsonart in thickness of 0.7mm and 1.0mm.

Aluminum sheet reinforcement

Decorative faces are reinforced with aluminium sheet. A broad range of reinforcement sheet thicknesses are available, including 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 0.8mm and 1.0mm. 0.5mm is the standard reinforcement thickness.

Aluminium reinforcement sheets can be selected with different thicknesses on different faces: for example, 0.8mm for front face, 0.3mm for back face.

Aluminium reinforcement sheets are 3003-series alloy for maximum strength and anti-corrosion performance.

Aluminium honeycomb cell size is 6.35mm, foil thickness can be 0.04mm, 0.05mm, and 0.06mm.

Core Materials-Aluminum honeycomb

Strain-hardened hexagonal cell aluminium honeycomb has optimum mechanical properties and is able to carry shear loads at much lower weight than foam or other core types.

Glue used-Two components epoxy glue/ polyurethane glue(high temperature glue)

Advanced adhesive technology has enabled the HPL honeycomb panel to achieve excellent fire performance.

Laminate faced honeycomb panel has been principally developed for high-performance marine vessel interior applications.
