Vertical flow air flotation machine operating principle

WYL type Vertical flow air flotation machine is composed of the air floatation tank body, dissolved air system, sludge scraping system and electrical control system.As the core part of vertical flow air flotation, the dissolved air system consists of water pump, air compressor, dissolved air tank, pipeline, releaser and other parts. Clean water at lower layer of the air flotation tank flows through the dissolved air pump to the dissolved air tank for air-liquid mixing, then the mixture is released by the releaser to generate micro bubbles that are to be mixed with raw water.

Air flotation is mainly used for solid-liquid separation (decreasing COD, BOD and chroma). After effective flocculation reaction, raw water added with chemicals flows into the air flotation release area, where micro bubbles in the water with dissolved air adhere to flocs in raw water and enter the solid-liquid separation area. Under the action of buoyancy of bubbles, flocs and bubbles float up to the liquid surface to form the suspended sludge layer, which is scraped by the slag scraper into the sludge tank. Part of clean water at the lower layer flows through the collecting pipe into the clean water area, while the other part flows back into the dissolved air system.

Vertical dissolved air flotation machine application

The air flotation device method for water treatment is a process where highly dispersed micro bubbles are formed in the water, to which hydrophobic solid or liquid particles in waste water are adhered to form water-gas-particle three-phase mixed system; after the particles are adhered to bubbles, flocs with apparent density lower than that of water are formed and floating up to the water surface; the suspended sludge so formed is scraped to realize solid-liquid or liquid-liquid separation.
