1 lining check valves only allow medium to flow in one direction and prevent the reversal of flow, usually the valve is automatic, under pressure of the flow in one direction, the valve open, fluid flow in the opposite direction when the fluid pressure and valve, PTFE valve ball weight, acts on the valve seat, so as to cut off the flow. 

2 connection: flanged, wafer type 

3 lining: FEP, PFA, GXPO etc
