A Centre Spear is a wireline fishing tool used to retrieve wire lost downhole. This tool is not recommended for general wire fishing operations.

III. Structure Characteristics

The centre spear consists of pin connection up and a fishing spindle , Pointed barbs are welded on the fishing spindle.

The centre spear can sometimes be driven into a ball of wire and break off small pieces at a time until the ball has been loosened enough to be move it up the tubing.
