Vehicle heating and air -conditioning systems take their air from the surrounding atmosphere.After conditioning, the air is passed into the passenger compartment while still contaminated by particulate soiling, pollutants which may trigger allergic reactions in and impair the health of the passengers; this is why critical particles have to be filtered out with cabin filters.
