The electrical installations came from Siemens Schuckert for the 396-410 and AEG for the 411-425. In contrast to the older series of motor vehicles, the resistance racks at the Blauwen are placed on the roof instead of under the car.

The new equipment entered service on line 16 in 1929. As the delivery progressed, the cars are also classified on lines 10 and 13S. Already in 1930 the cars of lines 10 and 13S disappeared to be deployed on the line 25 set on 3 April 1930. After the arrival of the follow-up series 426-445 the Blauwen also appeared on line 14.
