THK's linear motion guide SSR20 is designed for fast operation and high radial loads. Linear motion guide SHW also uses THK's ball chain to prevent balls direct contact. This helps to significantly reduce noise, lubricate the ball, reduce wear and smooth the slide. This gives the LM guide a very long service life.

The steel ball rolls along four rows of rolling surfaces of SRR guides and sliders that have been precisely ground. By means of ball retainer and end cover plate assembled on SSR slider, the steel ball column moves in a circular manner.The ball retainer can eliminate the friction between the steel balls and improve the maintenance of the grease, thus realizing the low noise, high speed, long service life and long-term operation without maintenance
