Preparation
Nickel fluoride can be prepared by the reaction between nickel chloride and fluorine gas at 350 degrees Celsius:

Use
Used as a fluorinating agent, in the synthesis of six xenon fluoride (XeF6) as a catalyst, Aluminum Alloy sealing agent.
